“Sajid Hussain, the editor-in-chief of the Baloch Times, is no longer with us.  Last night (Thursday), the Swedish police informed his family that Sajid Hussain's body was found in a river in Uppsala.
 Sajid Hussain Baloch had been missing from Uppsala, Sweden since March 2, 2020.  He moved to a new residence the same day to continue his education, which was reserved for students.
 According to the Human Rights Council of Balochistan (HRCB), Sajid Hussain was living in Stockholm, the capital of Sweden, but moved to Uppsala on March 2 for his education and work.  After reaching Uppsala, he was in touch with his friends and family till two o'clock in the afternoon.  Since then, his relatives have not been able to contact him. ”

 Sajid Hussain Baloch, who had worked for several prominent Pakistani journals, moved to Sweden in 2017 as a refugee because of the danger to his life.

 In Sweden, he founded the Balochistan Times, an online English-language magazine.  Until his disappearance, he was the chief editor of the Balochistan Times.

 On March 30, 2020, the Committee to Protect Journalists, an international organization of journalists, formally requested the Swedish authorities to play their part in finding Sajid Hussein and ensuring his safety.
The Former Assistant editor at The News, writer & Chief Editor of Balochistan Times went missing on 2nd march, 2020 from Sweden. The Well-known journalist mostly written on Armed conflicts, drug trafficking and religious extremism.

 Sajid Hussain is a well-known journalist with an extensive body of work on drug trafficking, religious extremism and human rights abuses in Pakistan. His focus was on insurgency-hit Balochistan and his writings were often critical of the state’s high-handed policies. He felt threatened because of his journalistic work and applied for asylum in Sweden, which acknowledged the threats to his life and granted him protection late last year. So the fears that he might be abducted are well-grounded.
He was 39, when his dead body was found from a river by Police in Uppsala, Sweden in April 2020. He went missing from the Swedish town on 2nd March 2020, where he had moved to a student accommodation because of his studies.
Sajid Hussain was born in Mand on 16 January 1981 and grew up in the nearby locality of Nizarabad. However, he received majority of his schooling in Karachi.
His early education was from Nasra Primary School and he later also studied in Bahria College Karachi.
In 2002 Sajid joined Baloch Students Organisation and remained its member for at least 4 years. In 2004 he became a member of BSO’s central committee, the highest decision-making body of the organisation.
Sajid earned his bachelor’s degree from Karachi University in 2006/07 with majors in Economics. He received his master’s degree with a first-class grade from University of Balochistan in 2012.
